List Leverage Review – A FAST Way To Build Your List?
Another one of Matthew Neer’s creations, List Leverage has been on the market for quite a while. And usually, if systems are available for more than just a few years, then they must be providing legit solutions. However, let me come out and say that I am not a fan of Matthew or his products.
In this List Leverage review, I will be going over the program, how it works and what you would expect in terms of tools and training inside. I will also go over the pros and cons of the program, so as to be fair and to provide you with the bigger picture of the program.
In other words, at the end of this review, you will have enough information to make an informed decision and will know exactly whether List Leverage is going to be of any benefit to you.

Here’s the $5 Training That You Need To Build Your List
What Is List Leverage?
List leverage was designed by super affiliate Matthew Neer. He explains that this system is going to help you build a giant list of subscribers by using his high-converting website absolutely free!
The question that Matthew pops, is that, if it is as easy as that, then why isn’t everybody doing it? His answer to that is the “tech barrier” of not being able to create a high-converting squeeze page, not knowing how to tap in good traffic sources and not knowing how to create good enough free giveaways to build their list.
List Leverage takes care of all that for you, while you do next to nothing, says Matthew. Each time you refer just one person to List Leverage, this one person will have the ability to add five more subscribers to your list, growing your list faster and faster. That’s how you can leverage other people to build your list for you, while they also benefit the same.
Why Use List Leverage
This is a very interesting idea in my opinion, because if you have ever tried to build your own list, then you know that it can take some time to get thousands of subscribers. When you sign up just one person with List Leverage though, you have the ability make five times more, without much work.
For example, if you were to get 10 people to sign up to your list, that’s 10 person you personally referred. However, these 10 people will also have the ability to refer others, and they would each add 5 subscribers to yours. That’s 10 + 50 = 60 subscribers on your list, just for referring 10.
Now you can see how easily this system could get people on your list.
The Problems with This System
This system sounds very good at first, but there are a few problems that come with it.
1) High Spam and Unsubscribe Rates
The problem with having other people’s subscribers be added to your list, means that they are being added without their knowledge. Thus, when you send out promotional emails to them, they won’t recognize you and could potentially either unsubscribe or mark your email as spam.
2) Low conversion rate
Another problem you could have with adding people to your email list this way, is that you may not be promoting the same things as the initial list they had signed up for, and thus, this will result in them not being interested in what you have to say. This makes your list futile, because you won’t really be able to leverage this list to make money.
3) Breaching Anti-Spam Laws
Not only would you not make a lot of money from your list that way, but you could also get into deep trouble because you would be breaching anti-spam laws. These people did not really initially agree to be part of your list and not having a double-opt-in to prove the people accepted, is going to be a major problem.
Beware of Extra Costs
First of all, because Matthew knows well that this method of building a list will be breaching Anti-Spam laws, you have NO choice but to use his autoresponder made available to you for $9.97 per month. Sure, it’s not a lot to pay for an autoresponder, but I imagine that Matthew needs to make it attractive, thus the low price.
You need this autoresponder because it is the ONLY autoresponder that is going to allow you have high unsubscribe and spam rates, because of the nature of List Leverage.
Secondly, you have to pay in order to get traffic to the squeeze page and they’re not cheap either! They are all over $1 per click! if you were to use Google Ads to drive traffic to your website, there are high chances of you actually paying a few cents per click. I actually think Matthew makes money off of this!
And last but not least, you also have upsells within the program that will demand more money from you, by enticing you with better results.
Pros
1) Free to join
2) Real person behind the system, Matthew Neer
3) Ability to build your list fast
4) Decent tools
Cons
1) Low conversion of the list
2) Breaching of Anti-Spam Laws
3) High spam and unsubscribe rates
4) Hidden costs
5) Cost per click is high
6) No option to use another autoresponder, for risk of violating anti-spam laws
7) Unnecessary upsells
List Leverage Review – My Final Thoughts
Overall, I don’t recommend List Leverage because of the severe repercussions that could result because of the breaching of anti-spam laws. Even if you are able to use another autoresponder, should somebody report you, you could get into deep trouble!
Building a list with people who are not interested in what you have to offer (your niche) is not a good list at all. What would be the use of going through all this trouble, to build a list that will just not yield the results of a typical mailing list?
Additionally, I feel that the upsells and the cost per click are expensive! They are designed only to make Matthew more money, while you build a useless list with high unsubscribe and spam rates.
If you still want to try List Leverage, you can do so HERE. But overall, I do not recommend this system.
Here’s How You Can Build A List The Right Way
If you don’t want to dabble in a website and you only want to build a list and leverage it to make money, then I have a great alternative to List Leverage. It is called Affiliate Promo Formula.
You can refer to the review, where I give you all the details about the program, but in a nutshell, I like how John (the creator of Affiliate Promo Formula), focuses on training you on how to promote legit products, how to start your list and how to make your offers attractive for people to sign up.
It only costs $5 and although you are introduced to upsells, you do NOT have to sign up for them to get the great training on Email Marketing.
With the Affiliate Promo Formula, you actually get proper training that you can use over and over again. What I like is that you do not become dependent on the system and could make money regardless of whether the training program survives or not, unlike List Leverage.

Here’s What To Do If You Are Interested in Building a Website AND A List
That’s what I have; a website and a list.
Having a website of your own actually helps you build your list much faster and I speak from experience. I have only been building my list for 1.5 month and I already have over 100 subscribers on my email list.
Building a website and a list together, takes some education and some work. It won’t come as easily as Matthew claims it will. And with a website, you won’t have to pay for traffic because the training that I am about to introduce you to, will show you how you can leverage Google to get hundreds of free traffic everyday!
With hundreds of free traffic, you can just imagine the number of people that will subscribe to your list!

Your Friend,
Reyhana
Hey Reyhana,
Thank you for bringing another scam to awareness. It clearly indicates that the program is illegal as highlighted in your cons section. You will be violating the Anti-Spam law and most likely all your mail went into Junk close. There’re also expensive upsell and the price of $1.00 per click is too costly. Nevertheless, l never a fan of Matthew Neer.
Since I have my own website, can l leverage with Affiliate Promo Formula program to accelerate my list building.
Your kind advice is much appreciated.
Zayn
Hello Zayn. Thanks for reading and for leaving your thoughts.
You’re so right! If it is violating a law, then it automatically becomes a scam. And about the cost per click, it is too expensive for sure. There are cheaper options with Google and other ad agencies.
It’s great that you have a website, Zayn. It’s the greatest asset that you can have online. And you certainly can use Affiliate Promo Formula to start and to accelerate list building. Some suggestions and advice that John gives you will really help.
At least, it helped me a great deal!
I have found a lot of courses on Udemy that have taught me how to build a huge email list and they usually tend to be cheapper than the $47+ dollars that list leverage is charging.
I am however curious about affiliate promo since it helped you build your list. Did it help you in writing high converting emails? I am scared my emails won’t convert to sales.
Yes, I agree! Another place that you can get courses on how to build your list, would be on Udemy. From a price standpoint though, I do think that Affiliate Promo Formula is the lowest priced.
Yes, it does advise you on how to pitch your offer, when to pitch it, which autoresponders you can use, what to write in your emails and how to also create high-converting landing pages too. I do recommend the Affiliate Promo Formula.
HI Reyhana, I don’t like List Leverage, but I like your suggestions and will have a look at Affiliate Promo Formula it sound much more interesting. Question how many visits did you got already when you start to build your email list? Or did you start almost right after you start with your website?
Hello Tommy. Yes, Affiliate Promo Formula helped me tremendously to build my list. I only started building my list at the end of August and I have over 100 subscribers already. It is important to keep in mind that not all of your visitors will subscribe to your list. The percentage of people who do subscribe will be significantly lower than the number of visitors you get.
Hey thanks for the review on List Leverage. There is nothing more obnoxious than getting suckered into something that does nothing but spam and has low conversion rates. I would like to grow my email list, but I do not appreciate hidden costs or unnecessary up-sells.
Affiliate Promo Formula looks promising because I want to lure people organically to sign up for my email list. I do not want to swindle anyone or lie to anyone to get an email subscription. I feel like people will sense if something is a scam and not sign up anyway. Its a shame that some companies have no values or integrity and just want to trick people. That is not how I roll.
For sure Sophia! List Leverage will only cause you to spam others and that will yield low conversion rates because these subscribers didn’t sign up to your offer.
That’s the way I think too! It’s better to be honest and collect leads that are genuinely interested about your offers, rather collect leads that will only unsubscribe or report your email as spam. It’s sad that there are people who only think about their pockets and not about the users.
I am absolutely clueless when it comes to building a list and whenever there’s a product that claims to teach me the right technique, the concept just never stick in my head. I don’t know if I should go after a all-in-one solution like this program you mentioned or go through a series of training to learn things better. You seems to have a good start building a list yourself. If I may ask, which auto responder do you use and what type of offer do you give in exchange for those emails? Thank you.
I had absolutely no idea about list building either, but that’s where this training by John really helped me. It’s not really an all-in-one program. It is step-by-step training on how to start to build your list if you are somebody who has no idea where to start. For $5, there’s a lot of valuable information within Affiliate Promo Formula.
I personally use Aweber as an autoresponder and it’s been great so far! I have a FREE guide as well as a FREE 6 Day course that I offer my audience to help them through the exact steps to take to make money online.
