Times are hard nowadays, with the prices of groceries going up and salaries barely able to keep up. Naturally, we are all turning towards the internet to make some extra money to cover our financial gaps. Points Prizes is one of those websites that promise to pay you, in return for some work. Can we trust them? Do they really pay, after hours and hours and hours of work?
Points Prizes is a platform where you can complete surveys, enter into offers and draws, watch videos and even buy stuff that you really want and earn points in the process.
It has partnered up with very reputable companies, such as Subway, Trivago, Starbucks, Kobo, Apple and McDonald’s, which actually shows that this platform may not be a scam at all.
Points Prizes gives you offers and draws that you can enter in, to have a chance at winning big jackpots and gift cards, on top of actual cash.
You will be happy to know that it is completely FREE to sign up. They do not ask for your paypal information for any fees. They do not ask for your credit card info at all either.
How does Points Prizes work?
Each offer, draw or survey that you complete, will award you points. The number of points depend on the kind and length of the offer to be completed. Some award you more than others.
For example, looking at the surveys section, each completed survey will award you 85 points.
If you complete the Kobo offer, you receive 400 points.
I would just like to point out that some of these offers will cost you money! YES! They will ask for your credit card number in order to complete the offer, therefore it is very important that you read the requirement of the offer before you get into it.
I am not saying that your credit card will automatically be charged. This is actually impossible because Points Prizes does not ask you for your credit card number at sign up, only your email address. What I mean is that, you should not expect all the offers to be free.
If however, you really are in need of something, then check out Points Prizes to find out whether they have an offer for you, where if you will be spending the money anyways, you could get some extra points in the process.
One fact that I would like to mention, is that you should not get excited over the video offers. They are actually the LOWEST paying offers on the platform. Each video you watch, will only earn you 1 point.
You can also earn money through other gateways, such as through gaming offers and video ads. Again, don’t expect for these to pay you incredible amounts of points.
The most straightforward way of earning the points is to complete the surveys. I speak from experience. With the offers and draws you sign up for, it is difficult to know when you have completely signed up for the offer as other offers keep popping up and the points don’t add up.
WIth the survey, at least you can keep selecting and answering the multiple choice questions until it tells you the survey is complete. It is a more sure way to make sure you are getting your points.
The Gift Card Prizes
This platform is actually the first platform that I have seen, that actually gives so many options in terms of gift cards, for you to cash out.
Many other competing platforms will give you Amazon, eBay and Bitcoing options, but Points Prizes gives you the following as well;
– Google Play
– League of Legends
– Clash of Clans
– Nintendo eShop
… and the list goes on and on and on!!! You should really check it out if you are into gift cards. I have personally never seen such a long list of gift cards available as ways to cash out.
All these partnerships also point towards the legitimacy of the platform.
Cashing out limitations
As with every survey platform out there, you need to meet a minimum threshold to cash out. With Points Prizes, you need to have a minimum of 3000 points to cash out. This will be equivalent to $20 in real money.
How much money can I make?
Seeing as the average survey takes about 15 minutes to complete, and provided that you can work 8 hours a day, you would complete 32 surveys within the 8 hour period.
Each survey will pay 85 points thus, 32 surveys will equal to 2720 points.
Therefore, even working full-time will NOT earn you the minimum you need to cash out. At most, you will only be able to make $20 / day with this opportunity (working 9 hours a day), not to mention that completing surveys for the whole day on end is incredibly boring!
You also have to know that there aren’t surveys available every time you sign in. Therefore, it can take you longer to get to the cash out threshold.
The best way to earn with this platform, is to refer people that will be willing to spend so long to work on these surveys. As a result of somebody becoming your referral, you can then earn 10% of the number of points that they receive.
For example, you refer me to Points Prizes. I complete a survey that awards me 85 points. You will receive 8.5 points.
Do they really pay?
This one, is the big question! After spending hours working on this platform, will I be rewarded just like they claim I will be?
Well, researching this website on the internet will give you many reviews and many say it is legit. Many will do that to get you to sign up using their link. But at the end of the day, it does not matter how many points they accumulate because it is necesary to know whether all your hard work will be paid off.
With this website, I have found mixed answers when it comes to whether they pay. Some people have claimed they got their gift cards and some others have claimed that their points counter got stuck at such and such number of points.
I have not reached the 3000 points yet, but when I do, I will be updating this review to reflect on whether I did receive my gift card / cash.
For somebody who is involved in affiliate marketing, I cannot recommend completing surveys as a way of making sure money online. To spend so long on the internet and at the end of the day, only having the potential to make $20, at its best, is a waste of time to me.
For a teenager looking to make some extra money, it’s fine. But for somebody who is looking at making serious money online, this is not the solution.
I would rather use this time and work on something that will actually grow over time and create a sustainable, passive income for myself and my family.
I would rather do the partnering (becoming an affiliate) of all of these legit companies myself and make money directly through them, instead of going through a third party.
I do not want to become a slave to work and complete boring surveys, day-in and day-out. I would rather do something that will encourage me to work with my passion, educate others about it, help other fellow people who are as passionate as I am about my hobby.
Making money involving your passion is the best way to go! And it won’t even feel like work!
I highly recommend that if you are not ONLY looking to make money online, but also looking to make money online passively, that you should check out my personal favorite training platform that will help you achieve that. It is called Wealthy Affiliate.
To be honest with you, I was scared at first, because of all these scams and people promising me fat paychecks by the end of the day. But because signing up was free and I never had to upgrade, unless I wanted to, I decided to try it out.
And it has been the best decision of my life. I am not the kind of person who will be throwing cash into your face, to prove that the system works. What I want to do is provide you with the opportunity to learn how to build this online legacy for yourself from scratch.
I will have NO financial gain when you sign up with the FREE account at all. Therefore, you can rest assured that I am not recommending Wealthy Affiliate because I am after your money. You can remain a free member forever if you like to!
My Wealthy Affiliate review will get into the details of all that there is to know about this platform and what it will help you achieve.
If you find yourself creating your free account, I will see you on the other side and personally help you out!
Before I leave you…
I would really like to hear of your experience with Points Prizes. Did you enjoy the surveys? Did you get paid? Did your points counter freeze at some point, like many others claim? How do YOU make money online?
If ever you do choose to try this platform out, let me know what your experiences are as well! All comments and questions are welcome!
