If you’re looking for an honest Press 1 Cash review, then you’ve just found it.
That’s because I was genuinely interested to see what the program had to offer as it could have been a way for me to expand my online business. And I also wanted to share it with you.
But things aren’t always as they seem, right? If all those programs were telling you the truth about how they worked, then everybody would have become successful using their methods.
However, 95% of people fail at online business or to make their very first dollar online. In this review, you’ll find out why you won’t become successful for the long-term with Press 1 Cash.
Let’s get started!
Press 1 Cash At A Glance
Purpose: Lead generation/affiliate marketing
Do I recommend it?: NOT FOR NEWBIES! Okay For Experienced Marketers
What Is Press 1 Cash?
I was skeptical when I first stumbled upon the website for Press 1 Cash. I mean, they tell you that you’ll make moola every time somebody “presses 1” on their phone. A whole $200 per “press”.
Exciting, don’t you think? Get 3 “presses” per week and that’s already $600 per week and $2400 per month. It’s a full-time income.
Basically, there seems to be two parts to the program;
1) Generate leads for an existing business.
2) Create a new business and generate leads to that new business.
So it seems that whether you’re an experienced online marketer or a newbie, this program could work for you. It will either help you get fresh new leads to your business or it will help create an online business for you, for side income or to replace your full-time income.
I have a bad feeling about this though.
If something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is, right? Especially when it comes to those programs that make it sound so easy to make money online. If it was that easy, then everybody would succeed, right?
But in my 20-month experience as an online marketer, I can tell you that making money online is FAR from being as easy as that. I have come across too many programs that make the same claims and they rarely work as advertised.
And I have a feeling that Press 1 Cash is going to be one of those!
How Press 1 Cash Works
It took a bit of figuring out but I like to dig deep before writing my reviews. Unfortunately, the website isn’t very clear about how all the tools tie in together and so, many people, especially newbies, might be joining something they understand nothing about.
How Press 1 Cash works is simple; you drive traffic to a website where your phone number (generated by the system) will appear and when your customers/leads call that number, they hear a message.
If they want to know more, they are instructed to press 1 and when they do, a text message is sent to their phone number with a link to whatever you’re promoting.
When you sign up, you pay $200 that will go to your sponsor and $97 admin fee that will go to company. These are one-time fees for one account.
You get a personalized website promoting Press 1 Cash, which is supposedly the website that you’ll promote. The website is hard-coded with your information so that each referral or sign up that you get, the system will recognize you and compensate you for it.
You also receive 100 credits that will be used up when the system sends your leads the text messages. You will have to buy those credits once they’re used up. They’re $10 per 1000 credits.
In your dashboard, you also get access to the list of your leads and whether they’re actually listening to your message and pressing 1. You can do what you like with those leads; call them and talk to them about the opportunity you’re promoting or leave them be.
I was quite impressed by one aspect of the service and that’s the fact that you can advertise the PHONE NUMBER instead of the Press 1 Cash website. You can then direct your leads to any website of your choice.
This works well if you promote other programs or if you’re a local business owner. For example, real estate people could advertise the phone number on the “FOR SALE” sign and provide a link in the text message to a virtual tour of the house.
Another example is a restaurant or even a shop, advertising a discount coupon code. They could advertise the phone number, have people call the number, press 1 and receive a text message with the link to their code to redeem.
But to be honest with you, I think that this program will really only benefit people that already have a business. It won’t do much good for you if you’re a newbie and don’t know anything about online business because the training is lacking.
The training is made up of some resources, like where to get a landing page, where to get a toll-free number, where to go to do online ads and training on how to set up stripe to receive your payments if you’re promoting Press 1 Cash.
All this is helpful but there really is NO training on how to get traffic to your website ONLINE, which is a bummer. Again, this program will only help you if you already know about how online business works. Otherwise, you won’t know what to do once you’re in.
Compensation Plan – The 1-Up Model
This compensation plan is in relation to anybody that decides to promote Press 1 Cash to others.
They call the Press 1 Cash program an affiliate program, meaning that when you sign up, you become an affiliate of theirs and can make money promoting the program to others. Each time a sale is made through your website, you make money.
However, I wouldn’t call the 1-up model affiliate marketing. That’s because it looks more like an MLM than affiliate marketing.
The first reason is the fact that you have to buy INTO the program in order to make any money from it. That’s more MLM than affiliate marketing because most programs do not require that you PAY to promote their products. On the contrary, they should be paying YOU.
Another aspect of the program is that the first sale that you make will be passed up to your sponsor and each first referral of the people you personally refer will also be passed up to you. Your first referral basically becomes your sponsor’s.
This is also known as a qualifying sale. Without this, you cannot make money from this program.
This would mean getting 1 referral for FREE each time you get a new referral. Each referral pays you $200 so if you’re getting a pass up, that’s $400 just for referring one person.
As you can probably imagine, the money does add up pretty quickly but so do the expenses.
The only method of traffic taught within Press 1 Cash (in relation to online marketing, which would apply to a newbie wanting to make money from home) is through paid advertising and they’re NOT cheap.
Additionally, you also have to pay for CREDITS to send those text messages, without which, your website will not get sent to your leads thus not making you any money.
These are ongoing costs that you need to consider before joining this program. There isn’t a monthly fee, that’s true, but you still have monthly commitments for credits and for ad-spending.
And also note that since you’re paying your sponsor directly, there will be NO refunds whatsoever.
Is Press 1 Cash A Scam?
To be honest, at first I thought that Press 1 Cash would be complete garbage, like Easy 1-Up, but that’s the reason why you don’t judge a book by its cover. I was impressed by the services that the program offers. I do not believe it to be a scam.
But from a business stand-point, I see little value in it if you want to make money online, especially if you’re a newbie. That’s why if you’re a newbie who does not know anything about online business, I’m not recommending it to you.
True, you could promote the program and make money that way but the training is so shallow. For $297, I would expect step-by-step training to ensure that you succeed with the program should you follow it.
For that reason, I think the program is overpriced. If you wanted to make money with this program, you would need to purchase other courses to learn how to promote the website and the phone number correctly.
But if you’re an experienced online marketer and already know how to drive traffic to your offers, then I think that it could be a great tool to expand your list of leads and to also build a connection with your leads through the phone.
Most people get more comfortable and trust you more when they know they’re talking to a real person.
Additionally, if you have a local business and want to drive up sales, this method might also be good, depending on how you promote it. But then again, you wouldn’t be a newbie. You would be someone with a business already.
So my final verdict is that I do not recommend Press 1 Cash to newbies but if you’re already a marketer, you could use this tool to get new leads. It would then work like email marketing, except now, you’re communicating through a number.
