Welcome to The Big Five Review that will give you honest and complete information about the program.
Are you seriously thinking of getting this program but are a bit skeptical? Are you wondering whether this is a scam? Is it going to work as well as they claim it will? And will you be able to make thousands of dollars every month, just like Marc is?
Well, it’s healthy to have all these questions because that’s what probably led you to my review, right? It’s good because that’s how you avoid scams and low-quality products. Not saying that this program is low-quality, but I will tell you everything that I know about this program so you can make an informed decision.
I must say that I found a lot of affiliates and other bloggers that wrote a review on The Big Five, that are promoting it like it’s the best thing since sliced bread. Let me tell you that I’m not going to pitch this program up to you so my review is going to be completely honest and unbiased.
So let’s get right into things here!
The Big Five At A Glance
Owners: Marc Gray/Trevor Carr
Purpose: Create a website to make money
Do I Recommend It?: Not really…
What Is The Big Five?
Right off the bat, I must say that the sales page is hyped up. Trevor is the one narrating the video and is the one who addresses us through the sales page as well and he tells us that Marc, his friend, has been able to make over $100 a day on complete autopilot.
I have to tell you that what is meant with autopilot income here is passive income and though passive income can be made online, it’s not easy at the beginning. There is a ton of work to do, specially because they mention using free-traffic in this business.
And the proof here, is that within the video, Trevor talks about starting his career in online business 2 years ago and how he “fast forwarded” to today to tell us that he is now making more than a full-time income online. So this here tells you that it will take some time for you to see real results in the business.
In a snippet beside the video, they tell you that it will be easy and fast to start… but that’s really vague. Is it fast and easy to START THE BUSINESS? If that’s the case then it’s contradicting because they are advertising over 30 training videos. And if they’re quality training, then you’re not going to go through them fast.
And what about if they mean to say that it is easy and fast to start making money? Well then, that’s also not right because like I mentioned, it’s not so easy to make money online. It takes work and time and dedication. No matter what they mean by “fast and easy” here, it’s not what it seems.
Unfortunately, it looks like this sales page is another one of those hyped up ones that give you the wrong idea about how money online is actually made. Let’s take a look at the inside to see how good it actually is.
The Big Five Training And Member’s Area
I have to be honest here and tell you that I was impressed with the member’s area. It’s appealing and very easy to navigate. The 5 different modules are separated well. The Big Five that Trevor talks about are the following different areas to focus on in online business;
1) Branding and Niche
3) Social media
In short, the training will show you how to make money online doing affiliate marketing using a website and blogging.
As promised, the training is in video format and I must say that the training starts off really well. You learn how to create your website, how to install WordPress which is a website-building platform. You also get to learn about the important technical stuff that will help your website, like plugins, and how to install them.
Next, you learn about how to optimize your website for the search engines. You learn what social media accounts you should be opening for your business and how to use them properly. There’s also training on how to build a list effectively and how to make money from your list. Then, you get to content-writing.
All this training looks good from the outside but I found something that’s missing and that’s support. There is a way to get a support ticket in, but that’s not very effective because it might take days for them to respond.
And if you run a business that’s making hundreds of dollars a day, then not being able to resolve an issue reasily could cost you hundreds of dollars for each day that it takes for them to respond. As you can see, that’s not very effective.
Does The Training Work?
The training is better than most make-money-online programs that I have reviewed but it’s not enough.
In my honest opinion, I think that the modules are jumbled up and might be confusing for the newbie. If you picked this training up, it might be easier to do Module 1, then 2, then 5 and then 3 and 4. Doing it in this order ensures that you are understanding WHY you need the website and WHAT you’re going to do with it.
The order in which you do the training can be changed, no doubt. But I just want to add that there’s some training that’s missing for you to really become successful. Out of over 30 videos, there are only 2-3 of them that actually talk about how to create content for your website.
There’s very limited training on keyword research, none whatsoever on how to make your content engaging and high-converting, and there isn’t a lot of information on how to target your content around affiliate programs or products.
There isn’t training on the different ways to find affiliate programs for your niche either or how to add affiliate links to your pages where they will convert the most, such as call-to-action buttons.
As an affiliate marketer myself, I see that the training could work and you can make some money here and there, but that it is inadequate if you want to make full-time income like Marc. This method of making money online entails that you become an authority within your niche and the only way to do that is to write quality content.
And that’s something that I feel, you won’t be able to do with going through this training only. That’s the reason why so many people start with blogging and affiliate marketing and seem to work so hard, and yet, don’t get good results.
Does The Big Five Work As Advertised?
The answer to that is yes and no…
It’s true that you will only be using free traffic within this training, but this kind of business is FAR from getting started FAST. It is easy because there are step by step instructions but it is by no means FAST. You won’t be able to set everything up fast and you won’t be able to make money fast.
With blogging and affiliate marketing, you have to be releasing new posts and quality content on a consistent basis. You can’t expect to write 10 posts in a year and expect to be making $100 everyday. If you write everyday consistently for 3 months, then you’ll see free traffic start to trickle in, as well as the sales.
That’s because your website does not become trusted by the search engines, until a few months in. The more posts you write, the better rankings you’ll get in the search results and that takes time. It’s only after THAT can you expect to start making some passive income. It doesn’t just start happening from Day 1.
Another fact that I must mention here, is the fact that the sales page does not mention anything about the COST of running such a business. The $67 is only to get the training, but you also need the tools required to do the work.
For example, you’re learning to become a seamstress. The $67 is used for your education and lessons but in order for you to start taking alteration orders, you need to buy your own sewing machine. Similarly, you need to buy the tools needed to run the business.
A domain name registration for your website will cost you $14-$16 per year and you will also need hosting, which will cost you several hundreds of dollars for a year. Another tool that you will need is an autoresponder to build your list and be able to do email marketing, which will cost at least $20 per month.
I don’t appreciate that the costs of running the business is not disclosed on the sales page. They make it sound like $67 would be all you’ll need to make it work when that’s not true. They just want to get you to buy the program so they can make money, not because it’s an informed decision.
And let me also tell you that there are upsells within this program, some of which are worth it. But again, this fact is hidden from you on the sales page, which I think is a dirty sales tactic.
Is The Big Five A Scam?
I’m happy to say that The Big Five is not a scam, but a legit program that will teach you to make money online. I think that the price is right for the amount of training and value that you get within the program. However, there are some things to take into consideration before jumping in.
It’s great training for a newbie to start with, but I feel that there’s some training that is missing, especially around content creation. Creating content is what will really make the website and the business, take off and without knowing how to do that properly, chances are that you’ll fail.
There’s also the option of finding out how to create quality content from other platforms but that means that you’ll need to research and do trial and error and hope that you’re engaging white hate techniques, because if they’re black hate techniques, you can bid adieu to your website and business.
I don’t approve of the fact that they make it sound so easy to make money online when in reality, it’s not so. You need to go through the training and apply it for a few months at least, in order to see results, and that too, if you’re writing content as you should be.
I also hate the fact that they don’t tell you how much your online business will cost you to start and maintain and they hide all about the upsells that they push you buy inside the program. There’s no transparency and I wouldn absolutely not want to buy the program and support these kinds of people.
Bottom line is that I do recommend this program if you have no problem with the sales tactics that they use on the sales page and if you don’t mind doing more research about content creation after you set up your website. From my point of view, I think there are better alternatives, that will teach you everything from A-Z.
My Secret To Passive Online Income Revealed!
To be honest with you, the reason why I know so much about making money online with affiliate marketing through blogging is because that’s also how I make money online. And unlike Trevor and Marc, let me tell you exactly how it’s meant to work.
You need to choose a niche, or topic, that you are passionate about and write posts about it. You have to be sure to use high-quality keywords to be found on Google, Bing an Yahoo, froom where you’ll get free visitors and buyers. By linking the products you recommend within your post, you’re making sure to make money for each sale generated.
And that’s it! It sounds easy, but like you already witnessed from this review, there’s some work to do. It won’t feel like work if you choose a niche that you like though… 🙂 I type a post everyday and it only takes me 2 – 3 hours and I can do with my day what I want.
Unlike The Big Five, I can introduce you to a platform where you can get started for free, to see if you like affiliate marketing. And if not, you can walk away and won’t lose a dime, which is not possible with The Big Five. You’ll have to request a refund from them, which can be a hassle.
Within my #1 Recommendation, you’ll have the training needed, tools needed as well as the support that you need (with other expert members helping you out) to succeed. You also get direct access to me which is great, because I am a Top 50 member on the platform and I actually earn a passive income from following the training.
What better deal is there than to learn from somebody who has gone through the training and is earning from it? 🙂
Complete disclaimer (because I like to be transparent and honest); there is a paid membership but you don’t have to upgrade if you don’t want to. The free membership is a forever membership and you won’t be forced to upgrade.
So sign up now for FREE and I’ll see you on the inside. I cannot wait to help you out.
